Knickerbocker Group designs and builds beautiful custom homes throughout the state of Maine. Headquartered in Portland and Boothbay Harbor, they came to SlickFish with an extensive portfolio of images, a long list of complex functionality requirements, and a desire to showcase their work in a way that demonstrates craftsmanship, attention to detail, and striking design — just like their homes.
We created a large, scalable, portfolio-based website that allows KG to tell Project Stories, list staff members in a filterable Our Team section, and detail their design/build approach in an interactive series of pages. With robust programming, we also designed and built a proprietary image search tool, much like a Google image search, called Inspirations. Web users and staff designers can search any keyword to pull up large, high-resolution pictures from a database of over 2000+ Knickerbocker images. This database continues to grow over time and all imagery is easily categorized and tagged.
